8" ECO Funnel® EF2 for Chemical Waste Disposal with 70mm SW Cap Adapter (for 6TPI Buttress Containers)

The "EF2" ECO Funnel is a safety waste funnel with a screw cap that securely attaches to a waste bottle. This design has an 8 inch wide opening and fits a 20 liter (5 gallon) rectangular Samson Stacker Drum with a 70mm 6TPI closure. . The lid is red for easy waste stream identification. (Blue, Green and Yellow lids are also available.) Our patented ECO Funnel features a latching lid with gasket and inner tube to keep fumes contained. A removable large particle filter catches stir bars or other items. The longer detachable tube extends into the waste chemicals to reduce chemical evaporation. The shorter tube creates an air gap in the container to prevent over-filling and dangerous chemical spills.ECO Funnels are proudly made in the USA of top quality, chemically resistant HDPE. Each model fits a different common laboratory waste container, from 4 Liter glass solvent bottles in fume hoods to large waste drums up to 55 gallon. This model fits the 70mm opening on the 20 liter rectangular Samson Stacker drum with GTPI closure . The ECO Funnel is the ultimate lab safety product for collection of hazardous liquid waste. Its unique, patented design performs two functions, acting as both a sealed waste container and also as a solvent funnel. The 8" version of our ECO Funnel includes an additional safety feature to prevent over-filling that the 4" version does not have; a secondary air-lock tube creates a small air gap in your waste container, which causes fluid to back up temporarily into the funnel when the container is full. After the screw cap adapter is loosened, the remaining fluid will safely flow into the container and not spill.
