Kathmandu-Bhadrapur-Kalimpong-Bhadrapur-Kalimpong Package

Day 1: Arrival Bhadrapur-Kalimpong
We will fly to Bhadrapur Airport, where our representatives will meet us. View the incredible stunning backdrop of towering snow-capped peaks in our 5 hour drive to Kalimpong (1200m).
Kalimpong is a hill station on a ridge overlooking the Teesta River. Horticulture contributes to their economy due to their favourable climate. Kalimpong exporst Himalayan grown flower bulbs, tubers and rhizomes to many parts of the world. This is also the home of the indigenous Lepchas (ethnic Nepalis) Upon arrival at Kalimpong, you will check-in to the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to rest and experience the exotic town of beautiful people. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Kalimpong-Gangtok
Upon breakfast, we will visit the famous nursery of Kalimpong that exports Gerbera, Dahlia, Gladiolas and Cacti across the world. Later we will visit Zang Dhok Palri Phodang, a monastery in 1372m that possess magnificent beauty. The monastery commands a majestic view of the Kanchenjunga. This monastery was consecrated by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama in 1976. The monastery belongs to Glukpa Sect, to which the present Dalai Lama belongs.

Then we will drive to Gangtok (1700m). Gangtok is a unique hill resort and also the capital of Sikkim; a paradise on earth. Gangtok is blessed by pristine and unspoilt natural beauty of the Mount Kanchenjunga Stay Overnight at hotel and walk around the town to view unusual churches, temples & missionaries coexist in a jovial society. You will experience the Buddhism rubbing shoulders with Hinduism & Christianity.

Day 3: Gangtok sightseeing
After breakfast we will drive 24kms to Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre, it acquires some of the World's most unique religious scriptures and rare objects. Our next stop will be the Do- Drul Chorten stupa; it is surrounded by chorten lakhang and guru lakhang. It was built to commemorate the victory of good over evil.

Then we will visit the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology. The institute is a renowned world-wide as the centre for study on Buddhist philosophy and religion. It has treasures of vast collection of rare lepcha, Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts, statues and rare 'Thankas'. It has over 200 Buddhist icons and other prized object art.

Our next stop will be the Government Institute of Cottage Industries (GICI), which produces crafts in authentic Sikkimese designs. Hand woven Tibetan carpets; sprout dragons in natural dyes. Sikkimese-style tables called Choktse are expertly carved & colored in red & gold. Also explore Lal bazaar, melody of colour. Various ethnic groups from different villages gather to haggle, bargain, gossip their wares. We will also explore the flower complex that organise year round flower show. The Orchid show held during the spring season is one of the most popular shows organized in the State.

We will finish the tour with visiting the Enchey Monastery. The monastery is built on the site blessed by Lama Druptok Karpo, a tantric master known for his flying powers. In January, you can enjoy their great fanfare where the “Chaam", a religious masked dance will be performed. Evening free to explore the mystic Gangtok. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4: Gangtok-Pelling
After breakfast, we will witness the 5 hours scenic view of the snow-capped Kanchenjunga and hillsides draped in Alpine forests while travelling to Pelling (1890m). Pelling is called the "Bengali Boulevard" for its numerous attractive walks and hotel terraces.

Upon checking in, we will visit the Rabdense Ruins. The ruins lie hidden from the main road. The walk towards Rabdense is through a forest area with some rare species of orchids. You wll also be able to view local carp fish; habitant in the lakes going to the ruins. Enjoy good views from the top of the ruins looking across the deep valley and to the Khang-chen-Dzonga ranges.

Our next destination will be Pemayangtse. It is one of the oldest monastery found in 1705. Be a witness to the 7-tiered painted wooden model of the abode of Guru Rimpoche, complete with rainbows and angels. In January-February every year, a religious dance called 'Cham' will be performed.

Stay overnight at the hotel and enjoy the view of Koktang, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kabru, Dom, Khangchendzonga, Pandim, Zopuno, Shimbho, Narsing and Siniyalchu.

Day 5: Pelling-Yuksom-Pelling
After breakfast we will drive to Yuksom (1780m). Midway we will visit the Khecheopalri Lake. Verdant forest surrounds this tranquil lake is a sacred lake for the Buddhist and the Hindus. You can sit down quietly to meditate and offer prayers. It is believed that birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the lake surface, be a witness to it.
We drive back to Pelling and Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Pelling-Darjeeling
After breakfast, we take a 5 hours winding drive to Darjeeling (2250m) enjoying the breath-taking view. Upon reaching Darjeeling “the queen of the hills” we will be assisted in checking into our cosy, comfortable room. Rest of the day is free. Take the time to sip the flavoured Darjeeling tea while enjoying the view of the rolling mountains with the glistening Mt Kanchenjunga towering over the azure sky. Day 07: Darjeeling sightseeing tour We start our tour as early as 4am for a trip to the Tiger Hills (2550m) to view spectacular sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak; subjected to clear weather. On our way back, we will visit the Ghoom Monastery. Built in 1875, you will observe the 15-feet high statue of "Maitreya Buddha" and images of his disciples Chenrezi and Chongapa. After breakfast, we will head for a half-day sight-seeing tour of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate.

Or Optional Drive to Darjeeling Railway station to board Darjeeling Himalayan Railway to board the ‘toy train’ that we have seen in many movies. This 2 hour joy ride will be from Darjeeling to Ghoom & back. It transports passengers through the lower reaches of the Eastern Himalayas to the rolling hills and lush green tea plantations of Darjeeling.

Day 08: Darjeeling-Bhadrapur
Today after breakfast, we drive to Bhadrapur, through the balances precariously steep mountain slopes, surrounded by lush rice terraces, swifts flowing rivers & distant snow views.

Upon reaching Bhadrapur, you will be transferred to your outbound flight. Now it is time to say goodbye and see you soon.
